Day 11 - Agés to Burgos

A day of two distinct halves, the first through fields and over mountains via goat tracks (nice), the other through industrial areas and parklands (not so nice). What was very nice however was checking into our private accommodation (clean clothes, sheets, and towels!) and nicer still was Burgos Cathedral. Absolutely incredible! Everywhere you looked there was something mind-blowing - an incredible chapel, the tomb of El Cid, a Da Vinci painting. A definite must-see. The icing on the nice cake was reuniting a German woman with her camera that I found yesterday in San Juan. I recognised her from one of the photos on the camera and spotted her as she was entering a church. She must have thought I was a lunatic racing at her making camera-clicking gestures but when she realised that I had her lost camera she put the mace away and hugged me. It was a lovely moment.

Difficulty - ⭐️⭐️ & a half/5

Distance - 23.2km

Camin-Oh no! - Low everything. Ceilings, toilets, beds. They all seem a long way down for some reason.

Camin-Oh hell yeah! - Walking through the area where the oldest human remains in Europe were discovered.
